I used to be a Neopets junkie. Then I snapped back to reality and realized what a big idiot I am. I am still that idiot but I don't play much neopets anymore.
I used to be addicted to neopets but I played alot of gb to cure it >.>
The only virtual pets I really got into were Dogz and Catz. It was pretty simple, you adoped a dog or cat from a selection of different breeds, then you could take them to different places and play with them, feed them, whatever...
They grow up, but they never die. If you neglected or treated them badly, they'd run away though.
Around the third or so installment of the games, you had the option of breeding your pets with other dogs and cats and have puppies/kittens with characteristics of the parents.
The Fifth installement of the games is out in stores for about $30 USD, I think.
Oh yeah, you can make your own breeds using a hex editor if you're crafty with that sort of thing.
I was a Tamagotchi whore back when those were around. That was about it though.

Almost everyone I knew was a Tamagotchi whore. I never got one nore did I wanted one. I remem this girl had around 10 all over her backpack as keychains.
I have a whole crapload of Tamagotchi's and tamagotchi-esque toys in a little drawer.
I even have one of those Pikachu pet things, which apparently isn't dead battery wise yet, because it's alarm has been going off for roughly 3 years every day on the same hour (3 PM-ish, if I remember).
Speaking of Tamagotchi, they're making new ones.

My friends had Digimon and battled from opposite ends of the lunch area. They'd link up, then run away from each other.

i had a tamagotchi and so did one of my friends. Mine always died.....Anyways my friend he made his mother take care of them while he was at school and his never died and it was extremely creepy cuz his mother would talk about how good they were doing. Extremely creepy as i said. Plus i asked my mommy if she would do that and she said no =( stupid day camp.
I never really liked that....I had a dalmation on this other one that died cuz he pooped up the whole screen. Oops. :lol:
I have a Pokemon Pikachu 2 GS and I had a Tamagotchi...I was so sad when the thing died. I was a moron back then and I was like "WAHH HE DIED HE WAS LIKE MY ONLY FRIEND"...yes literally crying. Then I found the reset button and played with it for 2 more years.
Holy jumping Jesus! It really threw me off before I noticed how old this topic was (all those posters who no longer frequent the site t_t).
