Be forewarned, possible spoilers (Hey, something may slip, if you don't want to know, get the fuck out of the topic...)
Ah, yes, what a glorius day, the sequal to one of the highest selling titles for the Xbox has finally been released to a thriving fan base. And I must say, playing this game basically the whole day with and without friends, This game has totally been worth the wait.
Story: I love it, much better a story in this game then that of Halo. And from what I have played so far, I believe that this really is the Game of the year (Hell, it'll probably be the best of 2005 as well >.>) It's pretty cool that they give you the ability to play as someone else besides the chief, plus the addition of new enemies to fight against as part of the covenant.
Multiplay: Online/system link, I would say yes; Only playing it on one machine, no. Some of the new maps are just way too big for only four players. Some of the new weapons added are cool, but kinda just look like rip-offs from the Unreal tournament games. Another thing that has been taken out, is the fact that you do not get hurt from falling from high distances now (Just as in UT as well...). Also another bummer is the lack of some of the older maps. Yes, they have included Blood Gulch and Battle creek (under different names), but what about some other close range maps like Longest and Prisoner. Some of the vehicles (From what I have experienced(Edit: They can run you over @.@)) do not run you over anymore, but what would you expect from the ghost (and the new ability to knock the person out while they drive it).
Graphics: Good ole MC has had a makeover, and my oh my, does he look better then ever now. All the lighting and shadows are top par, and detail on everything (And I mean Everything!) is awesome. Though I have to say, some of the cut scenes could have totally been better, it just seems at times that the animation off.
Sound: I believe they really didn't do much to the music since the last game, most of it sounds the same, but still good. Voices are pretty good. Not much more I can say about it...
Is it worth it? I would say so. The only type I would see not picking it up are those that are not FPS fans, but even they should try it, if at least once...

i like it when the vehicle ran over things that knock people off their vehilcle thing should be a timing thing and if they time wrong they would get ran over
one thing i dont like about halo is that the vehicles dont blow up, they only topple over. wtf is that you know?.. bungie show make them explode....
maybe in the future they incase the gas tank in the black box material they use in planes

Are you talking about Halo? or Halo 2? Because in Halo 2, they can be destroyed.

but im glad its harder, after a while the first one got very easy and almost kind of boring
in this one it seems like there is more to experiment with
such as an idea i just go of two people, 1 in warthog or soemthing, other player, players through gernades,
you bail out and let it crash into a group, vehicle will actually explode now
Sorry, but I have to say the ending of this game was just fucking sad. I won't spoil it for you... but shame goes to this ending...
i think the game was released in singapore about 2 days ago...
Retailers started selling the game at exactly 12.01pm ...
News reports say that 300 copies were sold out ...in liek.. 1hr? i dunno ..lols
yup. Singapore was among the first few countries to release halo 2 and yup it sold pretty quickly considering that events of similar kind never really got much attention.

Probably because microsoft has the exclusive rights to the halo game.
Lets see if PS2 owners get lucky & the distributor decides to sell the game on the ps2 platform too =P
I don't think it will be tt much of a loss. Since i reckon it will be out on the PC soon enough, and well theres always doom3 to keep one occupied :D

No this is false
Here are 2 flaws
1. You know those invisible walls that prevent you from walking out of the "map" Like... it will show a space, but you can't jump through. Halo 2 has a few of these.
2. The graphics truely are good, but... going off your statement of "flawless", I must disagree. In movie scenes, you will see the regular game play characters, then a second or two later extra details will jump in (it should load all at once).

I've heard from a forum that many people with modified XBOX consoles who bought the Original Halo2 game were banned from XBOX live as soon as they played Halo2 Online... But Microsoft denies the allegations & stuff...
I got the limited edition one and I gotta say some of the stuff they could've put in is super awesome.Nu bugs flaws???Lol when I play multiplayer with 4 friends over or even co-op stuff goes invisble,map doesn't load,huge slowdowns so I am glad they dindt put more stuff on because my xbox wouldn't be able to handle that stuff.....
