Hey everyone,
I was just wondering what people thought about this movie. I had to watch it twice... to start to err... like it a bit... but i thought that the dry humor was pathetic. What do you guys think about it?
I thought it was hilarious. :P
Great movie. I mean, you either love it or you hate it. You either like the humor style or you don't. I love it, but I know some people who just didn't "get" it.
On the note of Comedies, SEE KUNG FU HUSTLE OR DIE.
It was painfully stupid. I wasted like an hour and a half of my life on it and I want them back.

It's a movie about nothing.
Unless you want the plot to be "White man shows Mexican around."
Kung Fu Hustle is a great movie. I saw it a few months back.
I respect whoever made Napoleon Dynamite, except they went a bit overboard with that hideous wedding scene. I forced a laugh in front of my brother as I cringed in terror at what'shisname?'s song. My god I actually survived for that minute somehow! Everything else I found utterly cool about the movie. Name me 10 movies with more quotable quotes than Napoleon Dynamite and I'll agree that it sucked. Good Luck ^^
Napoleon is awesome.
Atleast, I thought it was...
I hated it... I left the room halfway through. I hate dry humor.
I loved Napoleon Dynamite. Though I see where Tonks is coming from. You really have to be in the mood and not prepare yourself for a side splitting comedy movie...because N.P isn't really like that. :D:
It's funny because it's weird, the role of a child is being played by this 30 year old, and we're never told if the guy is retarded, or we're supposed to pretend it's a kid, or what. His brother or whoever, he says something like "the guy's like 30" so I guess Napoleon is ... err, developmentally disabled.
Anyway it's funny for the weirdness of seeing an adult act like a kid perfectly, and maybe a bit more so if you can remember junior high during the 80's (trapper keepers with airbrushed planets and metal balls, playing tetherball and showing off with a kick, kids who had goofy personal habits like stuffing food in their pockets so they could show off by eating during class, etc). I feel a bit nostalgic seeing this stuff.
