Nak full guide (shot2 formula)  K n a t darkhalf365

Originally from CGB guoer and zhiqingxiangyan

=A=.full bar power formula (Divide full screen into 13parts)

half screen=distance6.5 , 3/4 screen=distance10, full screen=distance13

1)      No wind

Power=full bar

Angle=90-0.8*distance

Here is angle in accordance with full screen

1distance89.2 degree
  2 distance 88.4 degree
  3 distance 87.6 degree
  4 distance 86.8 degree
  5 distance 86 degree
  6 distance 85.2 degree
  7 distance 84.4 degree
  8 distance 83.6 degree
  9 distance 82.8 degree
  10 distance 82 degree
  11 distance 81.2 degree
  12 distance 80.4 degree
  13 distance 79.6 degree

--------------------------

For example:

You like to hit opponent at 8 distance, shooting angle=90-(4/5)*8=83.6,power=full bar

Hit opponent at 13 distance, shooting angle= 90-(4/5)*13=79.6, power=full bar

2) Wind

head wind: angle=90-0.8*distance- wind amount*factor

tail wind: angle=90+0.8*distance+ wind amount*factor

Here is factor chart

For the angle changes , Approximately we need to add few degree under tail wind. and reduce few degree under head wind

Second:   No way I could be bothered to use that.  If it's right though, it looks like good info for the people that like to use it. :P

Brenneh: 800px / 13 ~= 62px? You can probably visualize how long is 62px on your monitor.

i just stopped reading when you said

QuoteFor example:

You like to hit opponent at 8 distance, shooting angle=90-(4/5)*8=83.6,power=full bar

Hit opponent at 13 distance, shooting angle= 90-(4/5)*13=79.6, power=full bar

Gj on the guide tho =)

Anyone from FEEL is a great player, so I think he would "survive" quite well.

I do find it kind of ironic though, that a guild called feel is mostly formula users.  maybe the name should be "FORMULA"     But still, between Lort and FEEL, those are the two best guilds with FEEL problably coming out on top.

This would be great with pics. He's got a few posts on my forum so I'll try to track this poster down and get him to fix the broken image links. Wind adjustment is a big part of using nak shot 2, almost anyone can make 0 wind shots.

Nak formula? Doesn't that take the fun out? Personally I just guess. Cycle angles while charging power (sometimes even moving) and let go when I get that internal click that tells me this is the power I want for this angle.

This is one of the most boring and common and irritating posts on gbgl I find. It makes me want to abuse my mod powers and delete it, but of course I can't. But boy, I'm SO sick of seeing it -

Some guy posts a formula
Some guy replies: I personally don't use formulas, I like to use feel or _________ blah blah blah.

Well that's nice, what did you contribute to the discussion? You informed the world of how you personally like to shoot. The problem is the world didn't ask and doesn't give a shit. Please don't reply just because you need to make some kneejerk anti-formula statement. It doesn't reduce the fun of playing any bot (for a lot of us, maybe it would for you) and in any case, the formulas will exist and be shared whether you like 'em or not.

So far I haven't seen a nak formula that looked like it would replace a good feel for nak and remain intuitive.

I mean for simple shots I'm sure it'd work really well but there are some shots I just can't imagine a formula being able to handle, not with shot 2 anyway, so what then you wing it or use shot 1?

Why are you getting your panties in a wad anyway? Small thing to be so unsettled by.
Title: And here is a Nak full guide. :D
Post by: creedo on May 22, 2005, 02:14 PM
shrug, getting unsettled is my personal hobby.

<3

But yeah, a formula can handle shot 2 as well as feeling can - you haven't seen it, but it exists. It's easy to fall into the thinking that "if I haven't seen it, it doesn't exist" I played 10,000 games before I saw a trico who could 3in1 every shot for 2 or 3 games straight. I don't think I saw 1 wind hook until after about 3k games. I only saw a boomer lightning bunge on metamine twice and will never see it again. Someone out there is quietly using a formula... an existing one or one he already created... to tear shit up with nak.

And if it's not already out there I plan on becoming that guy :D ...I've been having a lot of success with 3 bar and armor-to-nak conversion formulas.

Well this has been buggin me for quite a considerable amount of time, but i reckon nak is easier than u think.

The basis of easy shots shud be based on 30 split using 2.5 power.
If you know Nak and the depth of that shot, you should know when to use 2.95-3.0 power using 20 parts.
Also know your angle 32 with armor, as it will be useful with nak.
These ways account for all light and medium winds '...as long as your drag is exact and accurate'. (GA)

For Further shots, there is a full bar formula relatively accurate (which can be used for less than 1SD also), n basically knowing how to change your angle when wind increases or decreases by a certain degree. Also to know how much power to adjust by when the wind changes by that degree.

Nak is only made complicated because most of the time ppl are like..yeahh ill try sum high angle sh1t, when its possibly easy for sum1 jus to use low angle like 32, where shot 2 takes up minimal space within the ground rather than a huge surface area with hi angle shots.
That also distinguishes wat is fun and wat is not in nak.

Off topic, I've never gotten how formulae work.  I need a guide that explains the formula really well.  'Cause, ya know, I'm an airhead.

On topic, that's hella complicated math.  I imagine formulas can make you hit every time, but if you figure in tornadoes, land, etc,
you have to have a lot of GunBound practice under your belt before a formula will help you very much.  So I'm gonna guess a
hard mix of formulae and GunBound skill is best, altogether.
