Hello
This is the GIS team.
After analyzing user's Dxdiag files, we have found that the game freezing problem is caused mainly by 2 reasons.
The new GWC requires at least 16MB memory and therefore users with video card below 16MB will need to replace it in order to the game.
Also, users should check if their video card driver is the latest one and download the latest version from their video card's homepage.
The site below has few links to the more popular drivers homepage:
http://gunbound.softnyx.net/03_how/01_download.asp (http://gunbound.softnyx.net/03_how/01_download.asp)
We thank all users who sent in their Dxdiag files and assisted with the investigation.
If you have checked all 2 reasons but still experience game freezing problems, please write to us on Mail Q&A > technical & bug.
Yours Sincerely,
Softnyx

Seeing GP in game again and turning off sound. I like, I like.
Do they realize... you can turn sound off as is?
Maybe by like turning off your speakers. I guess this is just a way to make it easier for people who don't have that option to turn off the sounds in game.
I've got no trouble turning on or off music in game, but I can't hear any sound effects. It works out OK, though, because I never have anything but my own music going.
I think they ment turning sound off in the options before you log onto gb. I tried to turn sound off there then log onto gb, the music was still there.
This is good news by all means :)
meh, we can see our gp now.
finally......
now only if they fix all the other bugs...
you can turn off gb:wc sound
when your ingame(playing an actually map and stuff) click the hammer on the right bottom hand corner and it say "Music VOlume" "SFX Volume" when you put the music volume all the way down then NO MUSIC! even in waiting room and everywhere else in gb
thought you guys knew that -.-
GIS' collective mind works in strange ways...But who cares, as long as they're on a fixing spree, let them have their fun. Maybe they'll fix alot of the critical stuff while they're at it.
I just found out about the massive GB update, and I'm downloading it now. Can't wait to see what's up with the new GB. Might even get me playing again, on a minimal basis.
On another note, hi again, everyone! >_>
#NAME?
I know that in game I can't turn sound or music down. I can turn them all the way off, but not down. I like having music off, and sound effects about halfways with Winamp in the background. This way I can hear when it is my turn and wind changes.
But I think they gonna have an option to turn it down from the log in screen.
Update'd, I think. Maybe I'm wrong, I just downloaded GB on this computer, and it had to update through 12 things.
One noticable change is the 'create a room' function has been added directly under the games, instead of the bottom. Nothing new really. Oh yeah, no crashes (for me) any more. I'm using windows XP, if it makes a difference.
Well i didnt mind the music at all cause i always had WinAmp on and its a good thing we all can see our stats in game, instead of going to the site every time. Softnyx also need to fix the security for the avatar shop. Even if you have high security level ppl can still get into the avatar shop, witch is a bad thing for hackers.
Eh i thought you could always turn off the music thru the 'GbSet.exe' in the softnyx/gunbound wc folder

ya you can tonks. But it requires a lot of going through back files of teh game till you find the adio file. Me and my freind had a race to c who could do it faster. I lost because i turned off all my adduio period. But whatever i fixed it.
Happy GBING
