There was ONE, count them, ONE chapter I thoroughly enjoyed. Out of 30. I couldn't get it cheap because I felt like being a dork and buying it at midnight. I spent all yesterday reading it...

Rowling has a bad habit to get her best chracters killed.

*SPOILERS SPOILERS*

*DON'T SAY I DIDN'T WARN YOU*

Dumbledore dies at the end...how dumb is that? The greastest wizard ever dies by Snape. Tonks is going out with Lupin, who is much too old for her and Harry with...Ginny? Lmao. I wish I had that big of an imagination. Plus I had to read it in English because the French version is only out October 1...:(

Oh well, I'll annoy my friends by spoling stuff to them.

Fuck you Tony. Jajajaja.

Tonks is going out with Professor Lupin? TONKS HOOK ME UP WITH SOME SPELLS!!!!
(I know there is also a Tonks in Harry Potter, do not act like all-knowing HP fans and try and correct me =.=)

Oh you asses. I DIDN'T GET THAT FAR! I'm hooked up with Lupin? Hmm... I thought I was with Mike...

I like this one more then the other five, my asshat friend had to tell me that Snape killed Dumbledore, I knew he was going to go before that though.

And here's a spell class for you. Sectumsempra = Enemys. =]

Hm I haven't read the books, but I probably should. The movies have all been righteous. The next movie I read is the most expensive film ever made. Should be dope, the trailer looks tight.

Just a question ive been wondering, exactly how many years do they goto school?

quite a few unanswered questions so far ~_~  Is snape really 65+ years old? And who is this guy who stole the horcrux first =-o must be a pro if he could do it with one person..

Also, some speculation... When dumbledore "pleads" with Severus... I think he was telling him to kill him and not mess up a later chance to serve some good later.  After all, he was saying how he was really worthless and of no consequence with Harry at the cave...

To the first of the questions, Snape would probably be around 66, because of the fact that he would of been 16 when he was taking N.E.W.T. Potions. And I have a spectualation that the person who stole the Horcrux (SP?) first, is Regulaus Black (Or how ever it's spelled) because Voldemort killed him for betraying him, but did it ever say why? It didn't. And as for Dumbledore, I found it, very far fetched that he was pleading with Snape.

QuoteTo the first of the questions, Snape would probably be around 66

That would mean 66 - 16 = 50 years old when lilly & james gave birth to harry? I don't think so. How do I know that? because if snape is 66, he was in the same grade as lilly & james, & I don't think they would have waited until they were 50 years old to have a baby.

so to answer the question in full? I heavily doubt snape is 65+

But, have I read the whole book? No, my girlfriend, however, told me dumbledore gets killed by snape. Therefore, the experience was not ruined by reading this topic :^_^:

Meh, I'm a dork, I admit. I have no shame in my Harry Potter addiction.

That was the one thing about what confused me, is that Harry estimated the potions book to be 50 years old? Maybe it was just a wrong guess?

What really purturbed me about this book was that if just all seemed like fluff, there were words there, but most of it just seemed useless. And even when she did mention something important, it was never mentioned again leaving only questions for the reader.

Then Voldemort would be a fucking dumbass to try and kill him. On another hand, I would like Harry to die. It would be funny if the 7th book was all EMO and Harry ends up slitting his wrists to kill Voldemort.

QuoteLOTR != same fucking audience as Harry potter, you can't fucking compare them.

With all due respect, to say this is a generalization. Yes, its true that many people read both. HOWEVER, there are definitely some die-hard harry potter fans who have never touched an LOTR book. Conversely, there are some die-hard LOTR fans who have never read a harry potter book. I happen to be one of the latter group.

If you're wondering, I can tell you why some of you think the book sucked (without any knowledge of Harry Potter, I haven't read a single one).

Ready? OK.... Go!

J.K. Rowling, stunned by the immediate success of her books, is thrust against the wall. The audiences are demanding new Harry Potter, but J.K. isn't close to being ready. She has to pump out these books as fast as artistically possible to satisfry the cravings of the raving fans. This is both why the most recent book was shorter than expected, and, according to some of you, crappier than expected. It may also be why the series is ending with the next book (I have no idea if it was planned long ago to only have 7 books or not, so fuck off if it was).

Ta-da! Remember I have no idea what I'm talking about... just what's come in to my head in the last minute and a half.

MALFOY CORNERED DUMBLEDORE, BUT SNAPE KILLED HIM, ALTHOUGH MALFOY LED MULTIPLE DEATH EATERS IN TO THE CASTLE TO WREAK HAVOC.

Ollivander liked butt secks from Voldie.

Actually if you think about it, Ollivander was the 'finest' wand maker, so taking him from the light, would put them at a dissadvantage.

Firstly: It doesn't matter if there are people who have read one & not the other. I my self have read both, & the only almost similar thing is that they have magic. With LOTR's serious nature, no one can hardly compare it to harry potter, even if its a generalization.

& Secondly, Exactly, its the steam room, not the whinging room. the idea is that you let out ALL of your steam in one post.

For every one saying does it really suck that much? Read it & find out, there is obviously a wide range of opinions shown here.

Personally, I wanna see Harry die in the next book. I think it would be pretty funny. Rowling has an habit of killing off her good characters anyway, why not kill the hero?
