The day we officially opened. It's already been one year. Good job to those who stayed and made it this long, and for making nS`T HAPPEN. A lot of people believe we couldn't make it.. but we've outlasted all of the guilds here in GBGL in members and in activity as far as I can tell. The point of this post is simple.. I will be hosting a nS`T only event, and offering several nice prizes to the winner(s). Since I will not be here to moniter the progress of it (as I will be in Wyoming), our two representative guild bodies (the High Council and the Conclave) will be responsible for keeping this event in order. This event will be simple and to the point.
Event Rules
- The event starts on September 1. Anything you do for the event before August 1 will not count, even if you do enough to win the event.
- The event ends on September 30, 12:00 AM. Time zones are applicable (which means that it ends when your part of the world reaches Sept.31, 12:00 AM).
- To win the event, you must participate in three challenges that require your skill and knowledge in GunBound.
Challenge 1
nS`T is a guild made by and for creature specialists. However, each creature has a machine or shield mobile counterpart. You must battle each other in a series of 2v2 battles. However, you must use your creature counterpart, and you must use the same one throughout the entire challenge. For the number of people participating, the number of people that can continue is the number who are participating minus two. For example, if 8 people participate, only 6 can continue. If 5 or less people participate, then 3 people can continue. In order to complete this challenge, you must provide a screenshots that prove that you and your 2v2 partner defeated another 2v2 nS`T group following the same instructions above. The only permanent rule for this challenge is that the game must be a race to 4 wins, and that screenshots for each game is required.
Choose according to your best creature mobile. If you have two (and most of you should) then you can choose from either of your creature mobiles counterparts.
NOTE: A.Sate is restricted.
Creature Counterparts:
Turtle - Armor, Raon
Grub - Bigfoot
Boomer - Kalsiddon, Mage, Lightning
Ice - Nak, Armor
Trico - Kalsiddon, Bigfoot
Frog - Nak, Aduka
Challenge 2
Since nS`T has been around for one year, we will play games according to the number 1. To complete this challenge, the remaining participants must play in a 1v1 elimination tournament. Only one 1v1 game will be played bwtween each of the participants. There can only be ONE winner. Example:
A vs. B vs. C vs. D
Game 1: A vs. B, B loses. B is elminated.
Game 2: A vs. C, A loses. A is elminated.
Game 3: C vs. D, D loses. D is eliminated.
Result: C wins Challenge 2.
All the games must be played under a special condition. Each player can only pack ONE item. If they pack and use more than one item, they automatically lose. The item can be any item, including heal items. Provide a screenshot proving your victory.
Challenge 3
The remaining participant will be tested on his or her knowledge of creature mobiles. The High Council, the Conclave, and myself will be providing a total of 15 questions in the form of a pinned topic in this private forum. In order to complete the third and final challenge, the last person must answer at least 11 questions correctly. The questions will not try to trick the person nor make them answer in a strange manner. If all 15 questions are answered correctly, the special prize may be chosen.
Prizes
The winner may choose ONE of the following prizes:
- Avatars of your choice. The cost cannot exceed 70k, and can be multiple items.
- Become a moderator at the nS`T forums. This is a seperate forum, not the one we have here at GBGL. This is only if kiwi decides to leave; if he doesn't leave, then you become a moderator here at the GBGL nS`T forums. Note that if you abuse these priveliges, they will be taken away, and you also risk the possibility of being banned from nS`T.
- Be RancidSlayer's girl/boyfriend.
** Special Prize **
- Be in the Conclave. You can only choose this prize if you are not already in the Conclave, and if you answered all 15 questions from Challenge 3 correctly.

For the 2v2, are the teams picked by you? (Ramza)
First, we need to see who is participating first. Once that is established, the teams are chosen among yourselves. You get to choose whoever you want.. but if I see unbalanced teams that are too skilled, like Nix0r and mezz in the same team, I'll have to change it so that it's more fair.
As for the third challenge, if you read, you can't choose it if you're already in the Conclave. This is the same for High Council; you can't choose the special prize if you're in one of the representative guild bodies. If you think of another cool prize I can give out, please say so.. coz the list of prizes is kinda sheisty.
You could whore yourself out to 100 fat chicks and split the proceeds.

edit: oh, and if the questions are hard...and no one gets 15 correct....can the highest scorer win the prize?
If that's the case, he might as well have let the 4th highest score in the votes into the conclave.
If you get 5, and everyone else get's none, you dont get in.
If you get 14, and everyone else get's 13, you're not in.
All 15 = All 15, or there would be no point in it being a "Special Prize".
All the questions are either based on GunBound or on the guild. The questions will be challenging (hence the name 'Challenge' >_>), requiring you to think about it before answering, but they won't be hard.

I have been sadly inactive... I am holding out for some magical PM update.
What's wrong with the current system? It's a bit of a pain having to retype the person's name, but at least we can shoot...
I find it really hard to hook up with 3 or more friends with the new PM system, trying to relay information to multiple people from in a game is just impossable...
