heh, i actually got my first double kill with an A sate in stardust at a chick rank. anyway, my fav map is dragon, with nirvana b a close second, and cave A a close third
I have to express my absolute hatred for Cave B in this thread. As if cave A wasn't enough for stacking everyone 3 cm from each other, Cave B slows down the game by not allowing any items for liek 70% of the game. Cave B ruined B-side Random.

Not if your lightning. You're so hopeless on stardust. You drill for about 1/8th of a cm and then they just scoot over... Totally irritating.

Also, "Cozy Tower" doesnt have B side on the list. Did u switch the options the other way around?

That's the idea. It's worse though. It item locks for like 15 turns and then so that everyone is below half health... then all of a sudden it lifts and the guy who gets lucky goes OH I get to use my secksay duals and he kills off one person immiediatly with shotgun.

I had a 4 in a row item lock on yesterday. So dont complain about item locks. I used S.S on my first item lock, by the time 1 round after finishing item lock, the S.S is enabled again.
cave b would be much better if they went as far as put spawn points on the two smaller islands, so that not everyone just SS's first turn... melee bots just completely kill everyone....
my favorite map is meta mine b though...odd because i've been playing lightning alot lately...but its quite nice...very easy to nail those pesky people who spawn/tele to the two side islands to escape the fight...i just shoot the underside and bury them in a hole...works okay with those who also like the camp the two little islands they get trapped and eventually bunged...:)

When Cave B first came out, I told everyone it was just cave A with a bunch of item locks. I was then called an idiot and a noob and was informed that cave was supposed to haev that many item locks... yup guess I'm an idiot...

what you havent got Cave B Side? Thats the only map i get on random.. either Cave or Cave B. I simply cant get other maps in random X.x

cave B is cool for all the wrong reasons, actually. i like how you can dual and he tries to steal turns on you, to realise that he should have dualled you in return. B)

yeah, sea of hero is pretty equal...reminds me of the time i got an aduka on random tag, and i got spawned next to a dragon, and i still killed him w/o tagging...before the upgrades...so yeah, i believe it can be fair. but i dont like ifair, i like things going my way ^_^

Let me tell u what happened...
It's 4v4 tag. All items except heals are enabled for that game. After we start, my teammate purposely jumps off the land and team teleport and teammate down and died. The other team also did the same thing. Since no ppl aside from the cheaters in each team packed team tele, all of us were killed by team tele bunge. At the end, it's just a 1v1 that the winning gold and GP are in 4v4 format.

psh....don't complain, if you go into a game that has cozy tower b and team tele enabled, you should be already have some sense of "uh oh," thats why you also pack some team teles and kill them before they kill you... hehe
/edit, and as for nirvana b, i like pretty damn well too. lightning shot 2 still never ceases to nail those people who try so hard to hide. hehe...i like it just because its a challenging map for a tracer bot like lightining who doesn't do much land damage like sate or aduka....it requires much more strategic positions to get the shots you need...
Team tele pulls over the person with the lowest health. TK him and he can't jump. Or if he tries its a suicide.

Ive never seen Sea of Hero B. But I like Nirvana B, it's more fun, and not plain like the other maps.

I only go with Random, so that's what I voted. I don't like to choose a map to play on, ever.

Cave and Meta Mine A shall forever remain the newbie maps in my view, regardless of what anyone thinks. I -am- surprised at how few votes Miramo has gotten though. And both Dummy Slopes and Nirvana for that matter.
I like Miramo and Meta Mine A. I can't stand cave, either side, because I get them all the time in random. I hate Nirvana and Meta Mine B.
What's the difference between the two dummy slopes?

I like Meta Mine side B. It's so annoying and fun, and the fact that there is a top and bottom level makes it even better. You can jump off and Aeriola and stuff. 8)

you left out Cozy Tower B, the one with the pillars, and the Sea of Hero B was the top and bottom map with the cables

I love miramo since its Trico Map of Ultimate Doom #1 =D Otherwise, I dislike all irregular maps =/ i.e. nirvana B, stardust, meta side b... I dun mind sea of hero and the like although in 1v1 getting that kind of map is usually cheap since one guy almost always has a better defensible position o.0

Cave B = Cave A with more item locks. You've probably been on it if you play those random map games.

I like Nirvana Side B, I use a.sate, there even though people say it has a disadvantage, when it actaully has a huge advantage.
i say random...i dont like choosing wat map...and its alot better when everything is changed around and not always the same...

Personally i like Sea of Hero for 1v1 as the cente poitn makes good high angles and a good shield. The 2 islands on left and right are also good stategic points as well :D
Cave A cus it looks cool... And Mage SS on 4 enemy lightnings who were spawned near each other is fun

With lightning i usually shun stardust/meta b etc. but i plan to play them more often because 99% of public games are random so i'm bound to run into them.. <_<

Not for its flat lands or wind changes but for its background picture...look closely to the wooden shaft on the let side of that centre figure....up and down....up and down...etc... :P

Yah, it makes for faster games though, and you don't have to worry about tracer bots getting nerfed or anything of the sort that you get with random ugly side B maps... Also, people sometimes get a bit lazy cos meta mine you can usually hit an opponent first move cos of the flat surface, etc. People tend to use that map for guild battles in IGB while china gb uses miramo. Miramo has the "beyond one sd" shots, but only one wind change, while meta has a few wind changes, but generally you're within 1 screen of the opponent.
You have described me the map very well. I know meta mine. All im saying is that i dont like how players ONLY play that map. If you want real challenge, master every map on the game. Thats the best way of seeing your favorite mobile in its maximum potential.
I'm a big fan of Miramo Town, mostly because it's quite balanced in terms of most things and you can do some interesting things on that map (tunnel wars). My opinions might change, but yeah.

I wish they'd start making size affiliated maps. Like 1v1 maps would be smaller and a lot more balanced upon placement, same with 2v2. 3v3 & 4v4 maps would be bigger with more wacky terrain to maneuver around in. I'm sure someone brought this up before but, they really need to redo the spawn points to some of the maps like Stardust, Cave, and Dummy Slope.

Random is the best because it spices things up. you never really know what to prepare for when you play random, so it really tests your skills as a player.
Cave. Cave is the best, even the Item Locked one :^_^:
Cave A its the bestest maps around in Gunbound.
Cave B well it ani't great as Cave A :P
Oddly enough I like Nirvanan B, it requires a lot more than just plain shooting especially if there is a lot of barriers. You can also do a lot of planning ahead by posittioning yourself downward for cover while possessing a better position to shoot. Most people don't like it because they have to shoot through all that crap to get to me. It does require a lot of versatility in shots as well as careful gauge management. If anyone thinks about it for a moment. The middle area is probably the most dangerous place to be at since everyone is going to be shooting towards the center more often.
My vote goes for Cave A :P

The huge wedge in the middle prove a good shield in the bottom and well i think it gives more fun in shooting with the high angles n stuffs. I feel its a great map. Meta Mine and cave are boring mainly because well it ends really fast and well its a bound to hit map esp in 4v4 right at the start.

i like to play dummy slope. its a very fun map and good for practicing boomer
Metropolis. It's a cool looking map, especially the background. Super-easy bunges, and angles are pretty easy to get. Requires a lot of strategic thought and terrain is challenging to use to an advantage.

My favorite maps are Meta Mine A and Cave (Either side, doesn't matter... it's still Cave!)
I like these two maps for two reasons:
Close to your opponent and mostly always good winds.

My favorite mobiles right now are Ice, Raon, and Lightning (in that order), so I like pretty much any map (although it's frustrating to pick Lightning only to randomly get Nirvana B right then). My favorite might be Sea of Hero. I think it's a swell design. I play Random, but I don't really consider that a map per se. :P

Metamine A, the Mage works wonders on there, and the map has an overall simple, neat design.
Agree... It's just simple and clear... Wide attack vision. But sometimes it depends on luck, if you're at the end of it, and you're facing an explosive mobile, it's a bit hard...
Miramo is also a good map for beginners... it's a bit hard to bunge.
Cozy Tower(A), well, I use it for NakMachine most.
But still, I prefer Metamine A
