Would you pay for this kind of stuff?

I don't really like the custom BG idea. I don't want to look at other people's stupid pictures. And I'm sure most of whoever does take advantage of having a custom BG will want to change their pic like every week and that's just a lot of work for softnyx. I bet a LOT of people would go for it, but it would be a LOT of extra work for softnyx.. but if they're willing to put in the extra work to make it happen, then I say go for it.

I do like custom (or at least different, if not custom) colored text on some things. I wouldn't like it in chat, cause I already have to keep up with orange team chat and pink messages and blue bonuses.. if you have a room with 3+ power users each with custom text, it becomes a mess. But I am all for having a special colored name and/or the title of the power user room. MS has custom speech bubbles like with pink hearts in the corners and stuff besides plain white. I'd LOVE to see that.

I am ALL for cash user benefits that don't involve avatars because my avatars are all for looks, but I've been on the edge of becoming a power user for a few months now. Stuff like this would give me that extra incentive to go through with it (especially pretty speech bubbles n_n)

m with Layne on the rank avatars, that would be kinda cool. Having a flag that matches your rank. Like Kitty said about the ingame skins and stuff, you and I both know how easy it would be to change them so why not make money and do it.

I think an RO-style Guild emblem would be nice to have, as well as having a skin ile you could edit and do what you want with, without being a leet haxxor.

The idea is that you submit ONE picture, and get it made into a background, but you don't get to change the picture, ever ; you have to pay again.

I'm sure Softnyx really won't mind spending 5 minutes a day judging which background requests are acceptable and which aren't, in exchange for like 20 dollars a pop ;p


Edit: and for "I'd get tired of other people's background" -- I'm not sure I understand the reasoning... I'm pretty much tired of everyone having a force background or wearing that punk hair and ugly ass red nose -- isn't it time for some real variety?

Plus for 20 dollars you can be sure people will make an effort to put something un-lame ; I'm pretty sure most of them would just put their name and an anime character anyway ;/ Remember the real goal is to make softnyx take their focus off avatar on and look at all the non-stat things they can do to make some profit..

While i think this would be a good idea, i don't see any real use to having custom names and such - it would be a waste of money for the parents that's how gb makes they're money.. parents, i myself wouldn't want to give my son money to buy a custom name on a game - avatars are alright with me if it improves the damage and such - since i'm a gamer myself, but custom names? comon that's going alittle too far, what's next you'll be able to customise the way you speak, like multi color text for 9.95 a month?
