If you want to speak Singlish, PLEASE DO IT IN ANOTHER FORUM.I see no reason to be proud of your race. Don't get me wrong, I'm Singaporean myself. But this talk should be reserved for another place. Almost every single Singaporean I've seen here has made passive references to his/her race. Even as off-topic remarks. Personally, I rarely use Singlish, even with friends.

To close a thread just because some people don't like it would be unfair. That would be like saying "Hey this person posted about Soccer. I don't understand soccer, and I don't play it, watch it, or anything, and neither do a bunch of people, so go post in another forum."

Is that right? No.

This topic is welcomed to keep going, which I beleive is why it was reopened.  You may find Singlish annoying or not, but that doesn't mean it needs to be closed. If you don't like the topic, don't read it and move on to the next.
