LOTR != same fucking audience as Harry potter, you can't fucking compare them.

With all due respect, to say this is a generalization. Yes, its true that many people read both. HOWEVER, there are definitely some die-hard harry potter fans who have never touched an LOTR book. Conversely, there are some die-hard LOTR fans who have never read a harry potter book. I happen to be one of the latter group.

For all the people who feel ripped off, or feel it was a bad book, THERE'S NO FUCKING NEED TO REPEAT OR FORCE YOUR FUCKING OPINION ON US ALL.

I believe this is the steam room and not the general chat section, as Tweekins has pointed out. The people posting here are simply expressing their opinions. I haven't seen one poster in this thread forcing his/her opinion onto somebody else.

Firstly: It doesn't matter if there are people who have read one & not the other. I my self have read both, & the only almost similar thing is that they have magic. With LOTR's serious nature, no one can hardly compare it to harry potter, even if its a generalization.

& Secondly, Exactly, its the steam room, not the whinging room. the idea is that you let out ALL of your steam in one post.

For every one saying does it really suck that much? Read it & find out, there is obviously a wide range of opinions shown here.

Personally, I wanna see Harry die in the next book. I think it would be pretty funny. Rowling has an habit of killing off her good characters anyway, why not kill the hero?
