People losing theyr accounts?

It seems that many people have lost gp or something because last time I played I had like 200 gp to go to be Battle axe +, and now I only need 31...

I have been tracking on an Excel spreadsheet the lowest GP required for each rank since the GP reduction policy was activated on May 10th.

There was a major GP reduction on May 10th, as much as 500-700 GP for some ranks.

After the big May 10th reduction, the B-Axe+ and Silver B-Axe ranks have been steadily going down in GP requirement.  For example, on the first week of May, B-Axe+ needed 8465 GP.  On May 11th, it went down to 8045.  As of June 24th, it is even lower at 7959.

After the big May 10th reduction, The Silver B-axe+ up to Gold B-axe+ went steadily higher in very small increments but suddenly steadily gone down (in small increments) the past week.

Sadly for Sapphires, Rubies and Dragons, there was never a GP reduction even on May 10th.  On the contrary, their GP requirements have steadily gone up astronomically.  Dragon ranks requirements jumped up 16000-20000 GP since May 10th!!  That's only 7 weeks ago....

By the way, the "Ranking" data is based on information that is refreshed overnight.  So for the most part, it is always 1 DAY OLD.  The GP you see under your profile and what you see when you re-logon to GB is information that is current.  But ONLY YOU can see it.  So the "Ranking" GP and your profile's GP are almost always never in sync.

On May 10th, Softnyx instituted a policy where GB players idle for 1 month would lose 10% of their total GP.  At the same time on May 10th, many inactive players were "demoted" to plain battleaxe, i.e. GP=6900.  Probably those who have been idle for many months already. This mass reduction lowered the lowest GP requirement of most ranks up to Violet Wand, up to 770 GP for a Golden Battle Axe Plus.  That made a lot of active players waiting to be GBA+ automatically level up overnight, without playing a single game.

The GP reduction update seems to happen every week on Monday around 4 PM (Korean time).  As an example, a GB buddy of mine who quit GB was at Silver Battle Axe Plus (GP=12959) before May 10th.  He was not affected on May 10th.  However on May 17th, his GP was reduced to 11663, i.e. 12959 minus 10%.  Then a month later on June 14th, his GP went down again to 10497, i.e. 11663 minus 10%.  In three more months (i.e. three more reductions), he will be plain Battle Axe.  But he does not care, cuz he quit GB a long time ago.
