Olympics USA Synchronized Swimming

[MetallicSlug]

The background music of America's synchronized swimming team was a song called Liberi Fatali, which was also in Final Fantasy 8.  As far as I know, Nobuo Uematsu (composer of music for all Final Fantasy games) completely makes his own music, but this same exact song appeared in the Olympics.  So does anybody know the details of this song?  Who originally made it, and when?

[Griever]

hmm...didn't know that. FF8 was one of my favorite games...and liberi fatali was a great song.

As far as i know...all Final Fantasy Songs are orginally composed. and Nobuo Uematsu did write this song.  and most other songs for the series.  FF8 was first released in early 99.  so i assume Uematsu wrote this sometime in 98...

guess the US olypmic team got permission from him/Squaresoft to use that song for the swimming performance

*note to self...must go watch synchronized swimming....

I was just totally in awe.  It's a great song and all, but the idea of using music from a 5 year old video game in the OLYMPICS still seems slightly ridiculous.

I wish I could've seen that.

On another note, has anyone noticed that watching US Women's volleyball is like watching free lesbian porn? o_O

yep and yep.   I saw a picture of it in the newspaper where misty was hugging her partner......and more like grabbing certain areas than hugging.

And which song would that one be in the game?  I dont know the names of the songs but that is a great game.  FF7 is better tho !!!!          I just love ff7....the lifelong debate of which is better.  And dont get me started.

I saw it, but I didn't notice the music.

On a side note, there is a lot of ass slapping between May and Walsh.
