A noob hacker! A noob hacker?

Well, I'm sure you all know I got completely hacked, the guy changed my email and Id passwords. I doubt you haven't seen my discreet topic  
I made another topic because I felt it was worth debating this. Is the hacker that hacked me noob? I mean, he stole a wand account with loads of gold only items and 400k and stole only my space marine??!?!!?! When I got back to the game I received a gift from Softnyx with the message "item hacking". My space marine avatars were back! I mean, is the hacker with so many accounts he cant handle them all??? or is he a space marine collector?? :blink:

Seriously talking now, let's formulate theorys to explain the recent happenings. I particularly believe there was information that leaked thatday hackers took the gb servers down. Also, I think that perhaps hackers are only making Softnyx get tons of reports and complaints about ID and item hacking to distract them for something that is coming in the near future. I mean, why would someone invade my account and get time only to steal a space marine? Cmon, there must be something behind this behaviour.....do you guys have any other ideas of what might be happening?

Given that maybe 65% of the GB players are little kids/mindless/retarded, it isn't very hard to extrapolate and show that at least 85% of hackers are that way too. Given also that it takes a huge intelligence (well, okay no, it just takes gullible players) and an impossible retard to be a hacker, i think that 85% just went up to 92%.

Conclusion? Why not?

Sounds like more of an "I hacked a wand and took the space marine as a trophy" sort of a thing. The person wasn't hacking for profit per se, just the thrill of the hack.

That's my thought anyways.

my theory is that as you said, he has too much accounts to himself, and he probably has hacked all the items necessary for him, and he probably just deleted your space marine, which softnyx gladly gave back.

Not all hackers hack to steal your stuff. They hack for the challenge, seeing how many they can crack and whatnot.

I know personally the people behind the account theivery has I have discussed on irc many a time in the past few days. I wouldn't call them noobs. The reason for your account not being molested is probably due to the fact that they have/had all the items in the game, and it was simply because they could do it.

Well, that is one hell of a gay challenge, specially because I had and I'm still having some terrible headache to get back my ID and email back  
Nevertheless, I'll do it, I'll recover what once belonged to me, no matter what or who tries to screw me!!!  B)

well, if they hack just for the pleasure of hacking, i'm inclined to really believe they got some side reason for that.....however, if I'm wrong, I apologize for calling them noobs and thank them for just hacking me for fun =P

I think they did it to many people at the same time or some thing.
They would delete some thing quick just so you would have to e-mail gis to get it back. Then they would do this at a massive scale so that gis would get a mass amout of e-mail on hacking. Or a mass of posts like "1 got hax0rd!"

It's a plan to rule the world mwahahaha... I mean to take down gis.
