First use shot 1 to locate where it will hit. Then if u want to finish off with lots of money then use S.S with slightly less power than ur shot 1

Fairly silly, really. Going for raw damage is often not really an option, but one thing to remember is Raon's mines are laser-type and they freaking hurt against organics, even if they don't track well. In fact, Raon is the mobile that can do the more damage to organics than any other in the entire game. (Not counting A.Sate SS!)

Your best bet against an organic is to force the opponent into a ditch, and then use mines(should be able to land one of them close enough, I've had it done to ME enough...) to screw his angle hard... Remember, they blow up underneath the mobile, tending to utterly destroy the chunk of land he was using for angle. SS is especially good at this in some holes - It has a large enough blast radius that they will sometimes be forced to make a ditch for their next shot, and often they won't be able to move away from it if you did your job putting them into a ditch.

Messing Ice's angle is not really possible, unfortunately, so this won't work so well against it.

I do NOT recommend going for raw damage, though.. It just doesn't work well at all.

I made a visual guide to turtle's SS:

The turtle guide is updated to reflect this.

 Look it's me!

I need another session with you creedo, so I can learn the fixed power methods. I haven't really gotten the info down yet, so this would be nice.

sure, I'm on lately under the acct "itsafuctday".  If you find me I'll switch to creedo though.  I wish badly that I could earn GP for my main account creedo, but everyone runs away from blue wand.  It's really disappointing.  My combined accounts have 52,000 GP but I am doomed to be blue wand forever.

I dunno why I rambled on about that except to say that I hope we can have many jewel prac sessions to nab a few GP.  I also need to re-test my half screen and full screen SS formulae, I think they both can explode a little late if you aren't careful..

Vs Ice, I generally stick to Weapon 1 and SS. Get him into a good ditch with the first two shots, then roll the SS in. Now he's down 350+damage, and is stuck in a good hole. As for his angle...keep screwing it with indirect weapon 1s, then roll a second SS in as soon as it's available. You may have to repeat this a third time due to his high health. Takes time, but you'll get the win bonus anyway.

eh I have managed to beat it a couple times but some people know their angles and powers well so they can always hit me so I gave her a switch to armor and it helped.

Let me teach you in return for teaching me. :P I am pretty decent with fixed power, you can ask creedo!

Minor update: Added a very usable boomer against-the-wind shooting formula.  It's by the same guy who invented the backshot formula.   Check it out at the bottom of the boomer section.

GoodLad

Creedo I hear u talk about fixed power method and I would like to try it out and practice with u.My GB name is GoodLad so give me an add.ALso is fixed power method like a full power hookshot for boomer jsut changing angles all the time? And do u use it medium-long range or can u use it close range too?I usually just play by feel and changing power while keeping the same angle which for me is 70 but I hear alot about fixed powers so I thought I would try her out :D

Midas

Good Ladt with different bots the power changes; however, takes creedo's armour fixed power method for example. because you're using 2.4 bars it will only reach one screen unlessthe wind is going with you. So as a general rule of thumb you will only want to aim at targets using the fixed power methods if they are within one screen away. Mind you once you get good at it you will be able to hit anyone within that screen in any wind without a test shot ;)

Ok yea I figured that out on dragon when the guy was higher then me.But on adium root with jewel I was pretty dang sure of myself alot with the 2.4 method.I think its a great technique that I can now incorporate pretty decently.

sup thug.  I can't add on my main but try adding jennychen69, my 2nd acct.  You can /m me also to remind me who you are so I don't reject it :P

Fixed power is what you described yeah: just changing angles all the time.
Occasionally you must change the power a tiny bit but usually you don't.

It's the shiz :D
