Most botters use many different dummy accounts to hide the fact that they bot (plus it is so damn easy to create new accounts at will, or will frequently change the names of accounts).  This guy simply doesn't care.  He has used the same bot account throughout, and as you will notice, it has -197646gp.  I have spotted him botting many times, and he has a few accounts in the top 300 that bot with this same dummy account.  This dummy account goes down by around -2000gp per day, sometimes it is nearer to -3000gp per day.  This means 2000-3000 games played with this dummy account per day.

Why is this crap allowed to continue?  As I said previously, I have sent this image through to GIS a few different times, to see if they will at least do something to this one player, but nothing gets done.  He has never even had the good old slap of the wrist 3 day penalty.  If they do nothing to even the most blatent of botting examples, there is no hope they will do anything about botting at all.

If you didn't get any GP for beating an account with GP less than 1000, that would stop most botters. Since after a few games, most people start getting the hang of the game, it wouldn't matter that much to people who actually play.

Good point Steve, there is actually quite a few things they could do.    Your idea would be the simplest to implement, but may affect others in certain situations.  Besides, right now the top ranked botters have many accounts that have been botted up.  This means they could use their 2nd, 3rd, 4th accounts that are way above 1000gp to bot with.

Perhaps it could be made that if an account (or team as in the case of 2v2 botting) suicides without any damage done to them by the opposing player/team, there is no gp awarded.  So basically, if a team or player wants to get the winning gp, someone in the team must actually do some damage to the opposing team in the game.  This damage must be done to a member of the opposing team, ie not done to yourself, or a team mate.  Otherwise the botters could make their bot program do a feather touch shot to themselves, after which their dummy account can suicide allowing them their 3gp winning bonus.

To be honest I don't know why they dealt with jewel suicides, but never bothered dealing with Cosy Tower B suicides.  Anyhow the important thing is IF they ever were to deal with this issue by making players get 0gp for these games by whatever means they choose to implement, THAT THEY FIRST, delete the current botters accounts (at least the high ranked ones).  Then everyone else would be on an even playing field as it should be.

I received the even background set 9 times, but i can't gift them.
A friend of mine got none, and instead of that i can gift him one too, i have to delete all the background sets.
I think this is very lame, one person doesn't have 1, and i have 9 but i have to delete 8 of them.

I'm blown away so many people can get so upset over this piddling shit. It's like you guys are still stuck in the "Avatar is the coolest thing in gunbound! I want to look like a pro!" phase. I know you can't be, the ppl arguing here are blue and ruby wands in some cases, yet you're all upset over meaningless backgrounds and avatars. You've got nothing more to play for than this shit?

The stuff you could win in the raffle wasn't any better than the 300 or so items you get in a shop. Think your event avatar will make you look cooler and make people go wow? Unique avatars are as common as dirt, and most of them acquired through botting... just like 1000+ avg hit and diamond wands and 95% win rates are as common as dirt, and aren't any more interesting or impressive.

Anyone who says softnyx "Really hurt users" or somehow cheated them with this event ... is frigging nuts. What happened to the people who didn't win? They played a lot of gunbound and all they got for it was some fun games for free? Holy shit that's brutal! I can't imagine being fucked over so hard. The next time someone complains to me about not being able to pay rent or being molested as a child, I'll say "oh yeah? Well I've got that beat. I PLAYED A VIDEO GAME FOR HOURS AND NOBODY GAVE ME ANYTHING FOR FREE!"

Anyway, I don't think it is so much this event as it is the general situation Gunbound is in now. Especially after that damned halloween event, alot of people were looking forward to a good christmas event. And besides the fact that they didn't win anything, people who obviously cheated won. People who did absolutely nothing to win. I don't know about you, but even if it is just a game I would be pretty damn pissed. If I didn't win, then why should some asshole who cheated win? It doesn't seem right to me. But then we come back around to the point that life isn't fair, cheaters always fucking win, and every human has the potential to be smart, but a good 95% throw that potential away out of utter laziness. What do we have left? A good, honest, 5% of people who constantly get fucked over time after time. It gets old, try thinking from more than one perspective next time.
