Who's idea was it to let guests post?  I don't think many if any guests see the need to post, but won't go to the trouble of registering.  Instead all it does is lead to making me look like an idiot.  Not to mention this site doesn't deal with my cookie correctly (using firefox if that matters) where other sites have no problem.  End result: unless I remember to login every single time I come here (I won't), I end up posting under a guest name.

I truly do see the problem with changing ur names, and i do believe that you should be able to change ur name ONCE , and only once. UBER, u have a point also with it being an internet identity.  I changed my name, and i do not see the problem in it. but i do see why u guys are angry that all the botters and everything are changing their names constantly to conseal their identity. like someone else said, they should be able to have a database open top the WHOLE gunbound community about changing names. then again softnyx SHOUD do a lot of things, yet they still dont. (i know it is a free game and everything, .. just saying)

CHANGING GAME NAMES WON'T HIDE ANYTHING.  What on earth gave anyone the idea that it would.  The game name is linked to an unchangable account name.  It doesn't hide shit.

Well, I use Opera (of which I'm proud) and I never EVER have to login to GBGL forum. Not once since I first logged in. And I'm not (and was not) on the forum every single day, too.

They could do it by announcing that in 30 days time, name changing will no longer be possible, so make sure by such and such a date, that you are happy with the final name you keep.  This would give everyone ample time to get their crap together.

Why 30 days?

Because as the guest pointed out earlier, it takes at  least 15 days to be allowed to change your name back to one you have used previously.  You might need a few more days on top of this if one of your secondary accounts now uses a name that you want your main account to use.  

Also some people would not play that often, if it was only a few days notice, they may never login over that time.  So basically 30 days to minimise the amount of whinging so that there can be no excuses as to why you are now stuck with a crappy name you don't like.
