All those accounts above 200k GP are phony... Most of them popped out of nowhere -- Believe me, if anyone in the top, say, 200 had been playing since the beginning of GB without botting, I would know about them. I still know of a couple of accounts on there, and they're all accounts that veterans sold a while back which got botted on.

The last legit silver dragon was cbchui, I believe his account is now a diamond wand called "Azorth"

The problem we're facing is basically that the new rules didn't penalize the people who have botted for a long time.

Why doesn't softnyx do the thing they did before, which was remove the banned accounts from the rankings while they were banned?

Gunbound has been out since August of 2003, the accounts could have existed before that in Korean gunbound.  And remember the neat little glitch of when you transfered, your GP doubled?  That was a fun one.  But say they made the account new on iGB.  Thats 15 months.  Sol, you know its possible to gain 1,000 GP in a day legitly, as oyu have done so many times ( I remember you saying so ).  So, 15 months * average 30 days each, thats 450 days.  With 1,000 GP a day thats 450k GP.  It is possible.  HOWEVER, It is my opinion that basically any rank above red wand is botted (I know of a few legit diamonds, though).  I think they should be looked into, is all.  With 450k GP possibly made in iGB alone, not to meantion that they could of had ~50k from the transfer glitch, them having half the possible GP isnt too farfetched.  I also realize that the accoutns werent made when iGB first was released, but it's still possible.  Also remember that there used to not be a limit on the GP per game, and that could have sped up the process.

Secondly you fail to count in losses of games, not a single person will will 100% of their games, then you add in that people have to sleep, eat, and do other shit. yes making 1000gp in a day is possible, but doing that every single day for almost 2 years, no just no.

They dont' remove accounts from the rankings period. A while back Seia' GLS'd her account, yet she is still in the iGB rankings. Which she shouldn't be.

softnyx wants to do something against botters. why not code something to trace cozy b suiciders and then remove anyone who utilizes that trick.. say 10-20 suicides in a row. or instead of instantly removing, add them all to a list and then remove the people in that list 1-2 weeks later, so people don't figure it out and chicken out

You come up with some good points.  However, I have screenshots of the top 20 players taken a while back.  I will include two of them.  The first one shows the ranks way back in May 1, 2004 (when cbchui was the silver dragon) and the second shows a screen shot back in August 17 2004 (This August screenshot was around the last time that all players still had their original user names.  The dreaded name change thing came in after).



You will notice that botting had already begun at this point, with accounts getting more than 80,000gp in 3 months.  Although this is still somehwat possible to get, look at the hall of fame winners GP.  The last hall of fame winner, got less than 4500 gp in a week (I took off the 1000gp you start with).  This is the winners GP, that means all other legit players got less last week.  Also looking at the hall of fame winners, they don't get anywhere near that amount of gp in the following week(s), so to maintain even this amount of GP for two consecutive weeks is difficult let along for months.

Now compare August 2004 to now.  It is even worse.  You have the top rank with over 350,000gp (and he would have had well over 400,000 if he hand't been stopped in his tracks), and he isn't the only one.  There are many accounts with well over 200,000gp.  Compare that to August 17.  That means these accounts have made around anywhere from 100,000-250,000gp in around 5 months (you could say in 4 months really, since this month saw the start of the hall of fame thing, whereby all the big botters have been stopped in their tracks with SOME even losing a tiny bit of their GP).

Nothing less than removing these big botters will satisfy me.  Back in May 2004, it was actually much more fun to play, because all ranks were attainable, and you could actually gain GP on the top ranks because they didn't bot.  Unfortunately, that changed pretty quick.  

As noticed on AtheistFury's site, most of the top ranks are either getting 0gp, or something very small like a few hundred GP per day.  Most of them are not stupid.  They realise they have been lucky to be allowed to bot their enormous GP, and can now simply sit on their arses and they will remain at the top indefinately.

This is in contrast to their previous 2000-2500gp per day.  Worse still, as I have pointed out, players like Illuminati have already had around 6 or more abuse warnings, however it seems as though the past warnings do not count.  Only the warnings since the hall of fame came out.

no its not. Not in this amount of time anyway. The most GP a legit player would have made by now is around 160-180k, and thats with playing like crazy all day since GB started up. No way in hell would anyone have broken the 200kgp barrier legit yet.

All the dragons should be banned, along with 90% of the diamond wands, and who knows how many ruby wands and other botters there on the lower levels.

screw the extra day for a month crap, this is an approximation.

17 x 30 = 510 days.

300,000 / 510 = 588.2 gp a day for the last year & a half. it's possible to get that, but they would have no life. A more realistic scenario would be:

510 * 350 (gp per day) = 178,500k gp, & even then they would have had to play like crazy.

So in reality, whilst it is possible to have gotten 300k gp, it would probably have been more realistic for a person who's played legit to have around 150k, because most of us have day top day breaks from gb every now & then.

Seriously...it's ridiculously easy to tell who is botting. It's ridiculously easy to tell which accounts botted to get where they are. There is no need for people to be like, "Wellllll it's posssssible that they are legit." because we all know they aren't. As the calculations have shown so far, I think 200k GP would be the absolute max anyone could have aquired up to this point. No offense to anyone who is above that mark, but I think you're a cheater...or at least will think that until you change my opinion through some sort of unforseen rational argument.

Gunbound needs a sneaky plan, like Uber keeps mentioning, to find out who all of the botters are and then all at once, ban them all. From that day forward, I think there should be a close watch on botters and a GP limit for each day. Say 1250ish?
