Personally, what browser one uses is ultimately up to the individual's choice. I agree with kiwi on the point that the people he was having a 'civil conversation' with were pretty foolish.

Firefox may be 'safe' now. But with the number of people using it increasing, there's bound to be an exploit that some people will take advantage of... soon.

undoubtedly.  yet it will still have a long way to go before it's as heavily-targetted as IE.

actually IIRC at least two of the last five FF updates have been made to address potential security holes.

True, but the thing with open source projects is that they're updated often to fix such exploits.

Whatever the case, i still love firefox! No idea why but my firefox loads significantly faster than IE these days.  :happy:

I have NEVER used the tabs on Firefox, seems like a waste of time when I have my own taskbar. <_<

I use Firefox because I've become accustomed to it. It loads faster (i have broadband  :P) and plus my internet explorer got screwed up, thus the reason i switched to firefox in the first place.

Same here. I've never used the 'tabs' function at all. Only problems i have with FF is that sometimes the plugins dont work well (esp. some websites use weird fonts or some other stuff, it just messes FF up but IE is okay with them). Someone around here mentioned Quicktime plugins dont work with FF well IIRC?

Quicktime plugins work fine. You just have to install Quicktime while Firefox is installed so it sees it.

As for tabs, I've stopped using new windows just about since my taskbar is cluttered a majority of the time.

Ironic since the GB page isn't really firefox compliant ;p

And uh, I just noticed the reason I don't have trouble with the taskbar is because mine has 3 rows... Very hard to clutter ;p
