Ok update on my testing.   I just tried it with mage and it worked great doing about 410 damage.  I am now a believer. :^_^:

This is what makes Turtle so good at close range with a slugshot or a forkshot. One of the streams will hit in front of the mobile (which, as Yoyo said, would hit the sweetspot slightly) while the second one will land on top and do a great hit on the sweetspot. It's even better with D+, doing up to 400 damage without a weather effect.

By the way this is moved to Guides.

do you have any ideas about whether being bunged slightly improves the damage of shots?

I'm thinking of armor shots here. Let's say you have a high angle shot vs lightning, who has (I'm guessing) a short+wide hit box. In theory a high angle shot will pierce more of the hitbox and come closer to the sweet spot than a low angle shot that hits the front. And for most bots it seems like a frontal shot does less vs lightning. But with armor, if you can plant a shot 2 at their feet and cause the enemy to bunge slightly you can get those nasty 260-280-300 dmg shot 2s. I never ever see those damages from a vertical high angle shot. I also don't see it if the shot fails to bunge slightly, like it catches their back end. It seems like the more dirt destruction that happens when the shot hits, the better the damage is.

Hmmm I've never seen Armor's shot 2 do that. But it seems that the bullet "crawls" underneath the target after the first explosion ocurrs.

*opens up drawing program*............

See how in frame 2 the first explosion opens up a path for the shot to fly under the target and how in frame 3 the second explosion occurs real close to the sweetspot.

yteah this explains a lot... i don't know abot it helping turtle or boomer cuz the shot 2's seem to make round holes. btw turtle inside sg rocks, i did normal shot 2 inside a kalsiddon being lower, and hit 380dmg no weather and no lowered def
