Ok... Basically every season there is something that KEEPS on happening: Most of the games are played during the first week and a half, and the rest of the season is just slow and uneventful.

It's just becoming quite clear that, as time goes by (and lots of players can see it), people play less. People who have lost during the first week stop playing because they know they won't be able to win either way, and the winners can't find anyone to play with or already have 100 games, so we just have this stagnant number of games for the rest of the season!

I mean... 219 games on the first Saturday, 10 on the third one, yet we still have one month (well, 25-26 day) cycles!

So I've taken the decision to shorten seasons starting from season 7 (the next one), however, I need your input. I'll be starting the league on a friday (at 00:00), and ending it on a sunday (at 23:59), that's something I'm not asking for your opinion about

But, should we make the seasons 2 weeks (3 weekends) or 3 weeks (4 weekends, pretty much what we have right now, with about 3 days removed)?

If we really get a lot of people, and if the (coming soon) point system makes people stick around longer, we might have to make it longer, but right now, I want people to tell me if they agree to a 17 day league, or if they prefer 3 weeks, like we have now, minus 2 days or so.

This would help by making people sign up every 2-3 weeks instead of every 4 weeks, and it'd improve the activity, most likely

By the way, there'll still be a break between each season, but it'll be 4 weekdays.

Ya shorten the league......the thing about the elague becoming dead in the last days is true.

Also, if you introduce that thing about points for everything people do, so they can change the points for titles and stuff could help a lot in order to have people who lose playing more. In fact, if the won like 2 points for winning a game in the season an 1 point for playing and losing, it would encourage them to always play giving their best to win

actually, I regret my vote the 1v1 time is fine too gives us a chance to breathe :s

you should keep the limit how it is... it gives people in the 1v1 division time to catch up up they aren't active in the first week or two, and the 2v2 league division needs that extra time =)

Hmm... I think we're going to keep the 2v2 season like it is now, because the trend is quite different, it picks up mid-league and people tend to play a lot at the end to get their 20 wins...

Yeah... I'm gonna leave the 2v2 league like it is... Just vote for shortening the 1v1 league.

Kiwi your tournaments lack pizaz and excitement, and quite frankly get very boring... the first tournament i was in at gbgl i played every chance i got... now i just __________________ thats my season... nothing.... good forums though..... you need to think of a new stipulation, that makes every tournament like every ones 1st.

For example....
rules must be (insert rules here)
Mistery prize for coming in a random place- Red Devil hood- golden armor
or
top 3 winners start with 1 win (3rd place) 2 wins (2nd place) or 3 wins, (1st place)



But anyways.. its not really the time, its the boredom and unexcitement of it all.

but shortening it might make it easier on everybody.... less wasted time, so the people who want to play, but are at 100 games start a new season earlier.....
And from what I noticed, only the top 3 finishers usually have close to the 100 game limit.... maybe that should be brought down... im not really sure.

Well... How did so many other players get to more than 50 games in those 17 days? Did you pick opponents based on rank, or did you not even try to ask for challenges? :/

Shortening the league will guarantee that new players join the league more often, and even if it's impossible to play 100 games in that amount of time for some people, the league will still reward people who are the most active
