I like this idea.  The only qualm I have against it is... well I hope it remains mostly a formality than a means of accepting people.  I for one would hate to see good people being pushed away from joining our guild because they did not do well.  But you said that good people would be accepted more likely.  <3  From the looks of it, I like the idea.

uhhh... it sounds good but i think itll be a bit hard having nolan be the tester don't you think? I mean he is a ruby wand... Even though rank may not matter to us but it might matter to the challenger and i guess they might back out... or something like that don't you think?  :huh:

I cant thank you guys enough for your input.  However, as seen in this thread (http://www.gbgl-hq.com/forum/index.php?sho...ost&p=65465) involving the cap for how many members there will be in our guild, the discussion ended up in having only 20 people.  This is the best way to keep the guild as unified and as professional as possible.  At the moment, we are at 18 people.  Basically, all I am saying is that... we should ultimately... pick the last two players wisely.

If, in fact, you guys disagree with the cap, please say it here... and we will discuss it more. =)  The reason as to why we are getting them to face Nolan is truly because it is intimidating.  That is part of the effect, as some may call it.  If one is gutsy enough to be tested by the best player in the guild... then they are serious about what they want... and they have confidence in what they can do.  We're looking for this =)  I hope.

So, I would like to get in a few words here, as Mark and I are supposed to be in charge of recruiting lol. I believe that it should be our job to handle this...As Secretarys of the Department of Recruiting, we should be in charge of the following,

1. Inviting Players to Fusion-- We most both agree on this, for someone to be officially invited. Upon agreement, we will inform Naren in Gunbound and/or GBGL. Of course, if another member wants to suggest that we invite someone to the guild, then we will whole heartedly give them a chance a.s.a.p

2. Maintaining the Roster-- By this I mean that we should be in charge of realizing when someone hasn't played for a while or seems to have dissappeared. When someone hasn't, it's our job to inform/remind Naren, so that they can be removed from the guild. I think we should be a little more quick acting in this way--Naren, I realize that you have been being careful and respecting members by giving them a chance before removing them...but we should just make it clear from now on that if you get removed for inactivity, you will be informed via a Gunbound message and are more than welcome to re-apply.

3. Informing Guild Members of Recruits-- Messaging (via Gunbound) all guild members when a new person joins the guild, so that they can be added by each person and get to know each other.

4. Testing Recruits-- I really believe that the above method is a bit too complicated and unnecessary. It gives people the idea that we are more concerned about skill than we are friendship, loyalty and dedication. Mark and I are definitely more than capable of determining if someone has these qualities and we can certainly determine if someone is such a bad player that even WE would want to avoid them lol.

...There may be more, but for now, this is all I can think of...does this seem logical/fair?

well the jewel seems a bit unessacary, but playing a few games with them is perfectly normal.
even playing a few games with them in 2v2 or 3v3 within the clan would be a good idea.
Since skill doesnt mean much if you dont know how to act as a team player.
