QuoteMy problem is that every time I see a gold battle axe - hell, even a few wands, I've gotta ask myself - "Do these guys understand how to play the game properly, with full knowledge of true angle, delay, etcetera - or do they just think, fire as fast as you can and you'll win?" That pisses me off to no end, particularly due to the amount of times I've had a teammate who has been one of the aforementioned.

You're right, it's your problem... not really theirs. This is the punishment one must suffer for playing with random strangers, something I stopped doing like 8 months ago. You can't assume any wand is a real wand anymore, or if it's ebay/jewel/aduka/stolen account/botter/etc. Don't play with people like this, and suddenly the world is a happier place. Can you honestly say you're bothered and sad when the ENEMY doesn't seem to have a good handle on how to play, whether it's from too much aduka or whatever?
I don't mind at all, I love stupid enemies.

QuoteHell, I'd like to see All Aduka teams which run purely on teamwork. But that doesn't happen, people just presume "Okay, all aduka time now"

I sort of get what you mean here. I used to like to play aduka and even wrote a little guide for it, I felt that it was a playable bot by itself. I liked it as a single bot not as a means to team up and rape others. Now you CAN'T pick aduka all by itself. If you do, your teammates will want to change also. And if you're lucky and the teammates don't change, then the enemy will be aduka just to take advantage of you, and you'll be lucky not to be raped if 3 or 4 adukas play vs you, even if your team is pro as hell. So one person picking aduka seems to automatically ruin the game, it makes me want to leave the room when I see it happening.

QuoteNice to see retards are still on gunbound.
Relax dude. PSU is a nice guy and a skilled player, not a retard. He's a ruby who plays mostly solo games, not one of the aduka kiddies. He's also been my buddy for a while, but even if he wasn't, I get comments like that once in a while. Try to understand that like 1/4th or more of all the people playing gunbound seem to love all aduka games. It's a little arrogant to think of these people as retards/lazy noobs/etc whatever.

Eslin

I'll tell you what really is exploitation- The rooms that really should be labeled "Aduka 2/ss win=kick" :P

By the way, firing as fast as you can will not get you anywhere past the first round of an Aduka match. Learning to time your duals and your respawns is a bit more important than that (and harder).

Also, Aduka in normal games is not such a bad bot- but you need to learn a little trick called dodging shots :P

First up: I play randoms in the vain hope that I'll run into real players, who are decent. Why? Because a lot of the time, I either have nobody on my buddy list, or people on my buddy list will literally refuse to not be on my team. Personally, I play the game as a challenge, not necessarily because I want to win. While I do like to win, it's because I would like to be the victor in a situation where I was challenged to that point.

I used to play Aduka on its own, before it was powered up, too. Which was ruined for me.

As far as PSU, well, he posts right smack dab in the middle of threads with completely unrelated topics.. Eh, forgive me for being presumptuous :P

Quote"They teach people how to formulate better. They encourage dumbass DKs from no skill. They discourage delay..."
I have no idea how you come out with the "formulation" bullshit. I don't really see the difference between applying formulas in an aduka game and an any-mobile game. Your stereotype against formula players makes you sound stupid, gotta admit that.

Aduka game encourages delay management and team stradegy, given that the players are skillful and experienced enough. You have to know which is the correct target to end, so that either you or one of your team mates will have the chance to survive for a turn, that's delay management.

Obviously you know too little about the aduka game.

QuoteThey teach people how to formulate better.

They give inane GP/gold for minimal skill and accomplishment.

people defend them as though they were an old child. They say "Well, I'm doing it just because it's fun! Not because I want GP, gold, DKs..."

Well, I know how many of those people are lying their arses off. About 99% of them, if not more. And why is it that over 90% of initial games in Server 12 are using this simple exploit, yet Softnyx does nothing to stop it?
Uhhh, so... Playing in normal games doesn't improve peoples ability to use formulas while playing aduka games does?  It seems kinda weird that you assume that aduka games encourage formulas while other games don't do so as much...

Since when isn't it fun to get easy gold and gp fast?  It seems like you're mad at people who do it since it places them above you undeservingly, so i can only assume that you find joy in increasing your own rank and gold, adversely, many others would probably enjoy it as well and would be willing to do aduka games to do so.

I don't play aduka games, but its just that it seems there are some holes in your logic.

Okay. Look at the Aduka's attack.

How much land damage does it do on an accidental scathing shot? Zero.

How much does, say, any bot but, well, Knight do? Just a little.

As such, it encourages people making (stupid) formulated shots that never need to change. I'm not so much mad at these people for playing these games, but for only playing these games and becoming dipshit dumb by doing so. It's not as though I would discourage them learning delay.. REAL delay. They're learning how to shoot fast, and how to die fast. That doesn't really help delay half of the time.

Aduka games are indeed mindless...

I tried it a few times, and here's the scenario:

Turn 1: Everyone looks for a shot they can make, and delays it as much as possible so that they are at the end of the delay list. They will be shooting at the closest enemy they can.
Turn 2: Those who missed during the first turn now shoot again to find their shot, those who didn't miss dual.
Turn 3: Everyone who didn't dual yet because they were adjusting will Dual now. The people at the end of the delay list from the first shot can now dual for 500+ damage
Turn 4: Shotgun SSes
Turn 5: Try to KS like a moron but fail horribly and make the game go into double death.

Turn 10: Land right next to a weak enemy.

Turn 20: Your noob ass was able to aim properly and end this game.

Biggest variation that can happen is when a tornado or lightning comes around. These gold hungry leeches will do EVERYTHING they can to get the DK/2000 damage in one shot or whatever.

Anyway, seriously if you want to make lots of GP and gold, double kills, etc, but don't feel like... Thinking too hard... Play aduka games. If you're used to normal games, they'll all worship you cause you can actually aim. Of course you'll be a lame kser though, so do it at your own risk! olo.

Your team must have been composed of total noobs, then. When I play Aduka, it usually ends up like this:

Turn 1: Everyone, no matter where they happen to have spawned, agrees on one target and tries to shoot it.
Turn 2: One person finishes off the first target, a second target is picked and everyone duals it to kill it.
Turn 3: Two people dual one person to finish them, the other dual another person to finish them.
Turn 4: Everyone attacks the person with the least HP, or they double-dual kill someone who is next to 2 teammates with good delay. Game over.

That's the ideal situation, but not every shot hits- so the opposing team will have the chance to get the edge.

But as with any game of Gunbound, a game is only as mindless as its players.  :P

Heh, I'm a fan of frog games...(wah dont flame me yet!)

It involves NO skill and NO HARD aiming requirements...just basic logic and teamwork. The games are faster than Aduka games. So, in a sense..its "worse" than aduka. Frog games (in 4v4) almost always gives out a 3k bonus to someone and occasionally a dk to someone. (I'm basing this on Adiumroot Side B). I'm just abusing the system until I become a wand. :D:

So, i'm just pointing out....If you're angry at aduka games....wait till you see frog games rise up and fill the pages of avatar on games

Here's an interesting fact. Comparatively to avatar off, it doesn't much matter to me if there are a bunch of idiots in avatar on sitting back playing all frog, because almost everyone who plays avatar on will invariably make their own freakin' games, as compared to the largely random-inhabited avatar off games. More importantly, I'm willing to believe that most people who would play all-frog would have to be more talented than most all-aduka gamers: Frog requires an intentional "miss", whereas, Aduka allows broad-scale missing to make a hit, particularly on Meta Mine A.

All they do in the frog games is roll an ss and do 1000 damage, and hit with 1 more shot to kill. or they shot first, then ss. either way its pretty midlessly easy.
much more so then aduka games.

I count anyone I know who plays games like aduka and frog a LOT to get easy GP as a much lower rank...

buda

frog games are nice for ezy gp, and to raise hit rate, but they get boring quick.. The only problem i have with the 133 pages of aduka games is, yes they get fast gp etc, but when these aduka players get a good rank then try to enter the real gaming area, there horrible. I have like 5 or 6 friends who adukad to like ruby, and now all they know is aduka and meta mine, and what i mean with meta mine is landmarks for certain shots and thats it. So they havent even learned the game yet. Plus they take up all the rooms etc. But its no diff from the growing bunge games on server 5. All i did for a week stright was bunge with kalsiddon. YEs i ranked 8 in weekly but just liek frog and aduka it kills ur skillz, and people are abusing it. With all the new gb bunge mapz, bunge has become a craze for peopel to make 1.5k gp a day..... SO gb is pretty much Ava off = aduka  Ava on = bunge

I used to play aduka on until I realised that it was very boring and really easy.
The teams were always set up like this: team A with the key has staffs and gold baxes. The other team is usually noobs, that are under Baxe. Noob bashing in aduka games is just like noob bashing in avatar on, but aduka noobs have a chance to win.
*I heal* Noob1: HEY  stop healing, thats cheating

*I use wind change*  Noob 2: Stop changing the wind, thats cheating

*I tag to dragon becuase I got lucky"  Noob3: Haxxer dragon haxx. He's cheating

*I do a trico dual for 700+ dmg*  Noob4: HEY! Stop aiming, thats cheating.
