"Hey man, Aduka games isn't exploit."

Yes. They are. They give people who have no skill, less. They teach people how to formulate better. They encourage dumbass DKs from no skill. They discourage delay, and make more people immediately think "If he's playing Aduka, then I will too." They give inane GP/gold for minimal skill and accomplishment. They're an exploit, through and through. Nonetheless, people defend them as though they were an old child. They say "Well, I'm doing it just because it's fun! Not because I want GP, gold, DKs..."

Well, I know how many of those people are lying their arses off. About 99% of them, if not more. And why is it that over 90% of initial games in Server 12 are using this simple exploit, yet Softnyx does nothing to stop it?

Gaaah. To all of you who have played in one without the clear intention of just fucking them over (I've played in two, period, one with Bigfoot and one with Trico) - Fuck you, thanks for trying so very hard to make the game harder and harder to play against random people, and thanks a bunch too for discrediting the Dook.
QuoteYou know, I asked a guy once if he'd mind putting me in a barrel and sending me over the falls. You know what the son of a bitch said? "Drop dead, asshole." Yeah... People are pricks. I asked this guy to take his air compressor and drill me with a six-inch nail right through the eye... What'd he say? "I'm low on nails." Yeah... people are selfish pricks.

Rofl!

First, let me say that I hate aduka games. I never ever ever play in them. Even if a friend calls me to one. They're lame and they're boring.

But, I don't have any problem with people who want to play them because gunbound servers are set up with this basic idea in mind: your game, your rules. If I want dual only, I can. If I want to make an all trico room, I can. If I want to insist everyone play high angling grub, or do random tag, it's my business. It's none of your business and not your problem. There are hundreds of other rooms for you to play in. For you to go out of your way to ruin someone else's brand of fun by invading their room and refusing to respect the room's rules is pathetic and lame.

The part that really made me laugh was the "teach people how to formulate better".. LOL! You sound like some kind of born-again baptist saying that listening to music with drums promotes fornication. Please grow up and realize that learning to formulate better is not a sin or a problem or an abuse, it's just people learning to play gunbound better. If you want to rail against formulas, go into the feel vs. formula thread.

They also ENCOURAGE learning delay carefully, despite the stupid "No shot 1" stuff. In a game where every single bot's shot 2 and SS delay are the same, turn order literally boils down to who can shoot faster. It's not like a typical game where an armor shot 2 will always go after a boomer shot 2... in all aduka games being 1 second slower than the other guy is the difference between doing one of those massive damage shots and killing the target or dying without the chance to fire.

There's also absolutely nothing about aduka games that make it easier or harder to learn formulas, I don't know why you even brought it up. It's like you're going to heap all the things about gunbound that piss you off into one target. For the record, you can learn formulas in any game with any bot and aduka games are NOT made with formulas in mind. You're right - they're made because people want to mindlessly rack up fast and easy gold and GP in a simplified game where everyone's doing 700 damage towards the end of the match. This is a game for kids with no patience or brains to learn subtle bots that hit indirectly or require good aim to make high damage. But - that's their choice. You say they're earning tons of gold and GP with minimal effort? Sooooooo fuuuuuuuucking whaaaaaaaaaaat. Other people's GP and gold are not your business or your problem! You only should worry about your own, there will ALWAYS be hundreds of players out there with more gold and GP than you, maybe thousands.

Try not to get so pissed about things that are
A: not your problem
B: beyond your control

Softnyx isn't going to stop all aduka games, because lots of people love them and apparently enjoy the hell out it. A gaming company's job is NOT to piss off hundreds of fans by removing game modes or mobiles that are enormously popular. Durrrrr.

I find the sheer quantity of "aduka only" games annoying... they clog up all the first 3 pages or so!
I dont play them either, I would rather play trico, but there is almost nowhere to go that gets people joining. =(

At least people will be making frog/profoot only games soon, as a nice change of pace...

Gincobiloba

My opinion: aduka was supposed to be a cool mobile though becomed into The Noob-Mobile. So they really sucks.

Let these people play their game, it's just their problem they can't enjoy the whole game.

18 mobiles, 22 levels, 12 itens. Some Aduka players stick with one 1 mobile/level/item in 95% of their games, it's just tooooo stupid.

Game creators have the objective to balance all these things, like powering up a weak mobile or lowering the angle range of a strong one. These balance provide more game possibilties and let players individuallity explicit turning the game more iteresting. GB with one mobile would be SO boring. Also, it's kind of frustating to see the others 17 mobiles wich needed a lot of hard work not being used as much as they should.

Maybe Softnyx could change some settings in order to increase the variety of game rooms, although they can't delete one type of game just cuz it is popular.

QuoteOther people's GP and gold are not your business or your problem! You only should worry about your own, there will ALWAYS be hundreds of players out there with more gold and GP than you, maybe thousands.
Actually they mean a lot, the only use for GP is to compare players experience. If I said you earned X$1000,00 meaning money of another country, you couldn't know how much is that without comparison. So if you ignore others gp you're ignoring your own GP.

It isn't my problem that they spend their time with this boring mindless aduka game. But it is my problem that they become somewhat retarded because I play with them (in the 5% of their games) and I don't wanna play with someone who thinks aduka is the only good mobile of the game and call me noob if the room isn't in Metal Mine A and has only Dual.

The game become more suprising and realistic as it variety grows, that's why a stand against these lammers.

This part I agree with. I never did feel totally right about aduka as a bot. It's like... half the time the bot is too weak and shitty to be useful (or it was before the defense and shot 2/ss update), and the other half of the time it's way toos trong and unfairly powerful. To softnyx, 50% shitty and 50% overpowered = perfect balance.

But I don't really think it's balanced, aduka is always pissing you off one way or the other and it's hard to respect it because of that. I wish they'd made aduka more carefully balanced in a traditional way, a way that doesn't encourage all-aduka rooms. The way I would like to see is to have each aduka get his own little mini-thor that hovers over his head like A.sate's satellite. Then that thor levels up and charges as you shoot, but it doesn't affect anyone else's mini-thor. So each aduka has to get powerful through his own work, and there's no advantage to having a big pack of adukas.

Actually they mean a lot, the only use for GP is to compare players experience.

I see what you mean. Honestly, I was thinking that aperama was gonna be one of these silver axe noobs and therefore rank would mean absolutely nothing to him, but upon checking his ID on softnyx I can see he's coming up on top 2000 rank and that he might actually care about rank and dream of making dragon someday. But! Nobody's getting super high ranks through all aduka games. These games are typically 4v4 score and are a much slower way to earn gp than 1v1 jewel or any solo mode. So I don't really see why he should care that some low-level aduka noobs are gaining gp, their GP isn't going to affect his chances at dragon anyway.

I kinda feel bad assuming ape was just complaining because he was too noob to understand some things :P
I also get annoyed at seeing 12871283182 pages of aduka rooms, it blocks my buddies from getting low numbered rooms and makes it harder to find a 'real' game. But that's pretty much the only reason I get annoyed about all-aduka. I don't really get mad at other people's gold, gp, bot choice, playing style, lack of brains/imagination, etc etc etc. I don't think any of that should be important unless you're judging yourself or someone you'll be playing with a lot.

aduka is probably the best bot, even by itsself. but usually people who pick aduka by themselves are so used to aduka only games and have no idea how to play otherwise, and pick only dual and die a horrible death. choosing the right items and playing delay, aduka wins! its great.

If aduka wasn't so widely used the idiotic way, I would use it as an underdog bot like JD or Ice.

but then you get 2 in a room, and its no longer "yay im origional, i can win with aduka" its "holy shit 2 adukas unbeatable no fair"

Being a fan of aduka games myself, I feel the obligation to respond here.

Aduka games NOT as simple as they seem. People who hate Aduka games hate them because they think it's all "just power up thor to level 6 and wait for double death and everyone does 700 damage, the game ends fast, it's a cheap way to get fast GP." That's NOT all there is to it. Truth is, the winning team is already set in stone when thor hits level 5.

Aduka games basically remove all the aspects of Gunbound but two: Timing and shot accuracy. That being said, you need to be a total expert in these two fields if you have any hope of winning. And if you can't win, you don't get GP.

I think they're fun to play, but still I'd get bored if that's all I played.
Thor's Hammer will live on... In the hearts of the players.

This generally sums up my opinion of All-Aduka (and the oh-so-popular Metamine games too).
I did play some in the past (mostly before the new Aduka) and I did play some today (since I needed to get 5,000 Gold ASAP, no time, and buy my last avatar).

Well, I generally post to show you THIS.
A quote to get you interested :lol:
QuoteI want GM to make a map suited for ADUKA 2/SS ONLY.

*People who enter the room will automatic be put in to Adukas and nothing else(Due to stupid idiots who can't read).

*Shot 1 will be blocked out like when u have finished SS, its black.(Cause of cheaters!!)

*Items would be DUAL only
---------------------------------------------------------------
Above rules are neccessary whilst the ones below aren't
---------------------------------------------------------------
*Moon disk/weather effect=All Thor with 1 lightning and 3 wind changes.
*Thor max level 8 (dealing an average of 800 damg dual)
*Automatic be in SCORE mode.
*Extends the game in aduka mode to make it interesting.
4V4= 6 LIVES
3v3= 5 LIVES
2V2= disabled
1v1= disabled

Really, I think the only thing aduka is good for is making comical insulting nicknames for it.  :D:

psiKObox

I find it annoying because since everyone is so used to playing duke games, when i pick a duke bot in a random 4v4, EVERYONE ELSE switches along with me to a dukebot.

Its only when i pick a litbot then they switch back to their usual bot of choice (some stick of course)

wow im glad to see that some of you have an opinion on aduka games.  Its interesting to me that there is 2 sides.  i always thought most of the community liked aduka games.  I go into every avatar off server, and half the rooms are aduka 2.ss.  I got into those games for a while, and they do give you some good gp/gold.  creedo is RIGHT about the jewel 1v1 though.

@AtheistFury: where the hell did you find this?!  thats hilarious, and sad and soo much more...

Much like EarwOx, a diamond wand, having a similar opinion in the Formula v Feel thread, is more than qualified to know this... Don't presume everyone is lowly ranked. :x

FACT: I'm not afraid of people going past me purely by aduka games. That'd just be silly. My problem is that every time I see a gold battle axe - hell, even a few wands, I've gotta ask myself - "Do these guys understand how to play the game properly, with full knowledge of true angle, delay, etcetera - or do they just think, fire as fast as you can and you'll win?" That pisses me off to no end, particularly due to the amount of times I've had a teammate who has been one of the aforementioned.

Another problem: I used to like Aduka, before it was "upgraded". We wouldn't make all-Aduka teams.. we'd put maybe 2 on one team. Me and Smike (at that time, my guild leader) would get together in groups of two in 2v2s and actually power thor the hard way (since our shots were only 2 per.) The SS was a nice upgrade.. but the upgrade to 3 just made it completely broken in most situations. My problem now, is, people immediately take anti-Aduka bots (Aduka) whenever I should happen to pick it. Which DOES directly effect me, a player of Aduka at times. Hell, my winrate is something like 82-83% with it, and I've not once used it in an all Aduka game. I'm not angry at their gold/GP (while I've been really irritated several times to find out ruby wands could only play Aduka, that being my main problem... and yes, I have someone in particular on these forums in mind, not that I'll name them.) I'm happy to see Aduka played... Hell, I'd like to see All Aduka teams which run purely on teamwork. But that doesn't happen, people just presume "Okay, all aduka time now".

I summed up your post into this. So what you're saying is, when Thor hits level 5, the game's over? Yeah, sounds real complicated to me. Formula players (and I mean the parabola chart players) thrive here, why? Because they know exactly where everything will land, especially on shit easy layout maps like Meta Mine.. not to mention, they're not being angle damaged half of the time, because Thor will hit exactly on them unless their opponent misses, and then they've won anyway.

I don't feel like reading all the replies, but seriously, shut up. If it was really that much of an exploit, Softnyx would have patched it by now. They ARE the game designers, remember? This is no different than doing Jewel 1v1 with Powercard all day long.

Good points. I too play aduka games quite a bit, but that's not the only thing I play. I use Aduka games when I'm trying to rake in gold for a new avatar, or need some quick GP for my next rank. In my opinion, Aduka games are the fairest game you can play because everyone is working with the exact same options so the deciding factors are accuracy, and delay management (as Eslin said). It's the only game where one missed dual can easily spell loss for your team. You also have the difficulty of knowing where Thor is (to avoid hitting yourself, or a teammate because they're in the line of fire). It's not an exploit, just evening out the odds in the most profitable way available.

At least we're not hacking or botting! :P
