QuoteHi

My name is STFUnFLiP4Me and I am writing today to request a feature.

In Gunbound: Thor's Hammer, we were able to disable items in the waiting room.

In Gunbound: World Champion, it is impossible to disable items.

I would like to request that you allow us to disable items again.

The reason for this is that I am gay.

In order to implement it, it would be good to pop up the item selection window when someone enters a room with disabled items, so that the person can choose again.

If the room master disables items, print it in the chat window, and un-ready all users.

Actually,I think biological creatures having a better heal is only fair to them. They have the weakest def among all,and doesnt have regen.(Mech have high def, shield as regen, bio have nth else >_>)

The all items on thing really favors me and nS`T.

What I think should happen is that only powerusers can turn off items. This way I can easily find all item games, and softnyx can make a shitload of cash off of the "traditional" dual only types.

I think that having heals is only fair considering how much damage everything does. Kiwi and his dual+ hating... it certainly makes sense.
No other item has such abusive delay =/ except maybe Ice and bandaids.

I see your point kiwi. And even though it is against my best interests, I sent the email, as I have to! I said I would and stuff.
Next time I would like it if the email to be sent was discussed a little more... I like the powerusers idea a lot more.

The reason for this is that many people do not like items such as dual+, or team teleport, and find them unfair. Many people have stopped playing because of they cannot turn these items off, even though they are the room master.

QuoteErrorSol - wait what does it say when someone is logged in as hidden?
kiwibonga - dude, I can see him cause I'm an admin
kiwibonga - but you can't cause you're an undershit

ErrorSol

doubt that it will happen. if they implant the item disabling feature, they would have to remove the 20 seconds auto ready and the item set up saving feature.

Rei

I'm sorry, but my standards just don't allow me to do this. :/

This is one complaint I don't like at all - Complain about increased damages all you want, or complain that dual+ needs a higher delay attached to it, but disabling items will make gunbound un-fun again.  The whole deal with having the items there is to use them...not disable them in every game, so that every game is dual and dual+.  As sol said, they would have to remove the item remembering...and the 20 scond autokick.  I wouldnt mind the autokick gone...but whatever.

ANYWAY, I think you're complaining about the wrong thing.  All the posts I see are complaining about damage, not items.  Complain about higher damages, not item disabling.

...and I sent in a counter-complaint asking them to not disable items.  Just thought you'd like to know.

okay, i'll bite- what standards?

are you saying this form of request/protest is a higher standard than you're comfortable with, or below you?

I'm pretty sure Rei means the same thing I do, it BENEFITS us to have all items on, to have them disabled would not be in our best interest.

However, I highly doubt this will be implemented. Like sol said, it would mess up the auto-item thing a ton.
And when softnyx makes a feature, they tend to hold onto it with a death-grip.
Why code something to get rid of it? Even if its a downgrade?

TonksLT

How is it fun to play Dual only games? Even when we were back on Thor's Hammer, I would play all items, for the shear point of diversity. I mean, dual only, geez, that's fun. I mean, Dual, get dualed, Dual again, kill. Really fun games, huh?

And as Mezz has said, All items favor the creature users. And as I am a strict Creaturer user, I always kept all items.

MaNdubOy

Dual only?  The last time I was on TH, there weren't many dual only rooms...

Yes, complain about the STUPID damages, please.

are you kidding me?

It once took me 10 minutes just to find a game that wasn't dual only or aduka.
I like having only to dodge aduka games now. (although it is still a pain, its less of a pain)

TonksLT

Thats how I've always played. o.O Not kidding.

My variation cut out a lot of the "draw a box and button here" stuff (they can figure that out on their own) and added this as my reason:

In the old gunbound, 90% of the players disabled some items. If 90% of the players in gunbound want to play the game this way, you should give these players what they want. If you do not like the game items being reduced to only dual, then you can make a limit - Example: Players are allowed to disable only 1 or 2 items.

Would anyone consider an official complaint about the damage? Honestly it's just about the only thing keeping me from playing the game.
