Worms 3D was the worst PS2 game I've ever played. >.<

I say when Gunbound goes up again someone makes a room called GBGL room and we all have a 4 on 4 game for those who want to play. =D

looks like gb wont be coming back up for a long time.  they usually tell you when its going to be back up, but you KNOW ITS BAD when they dont even announce when its going to be back up.

Ugh...I would almost understand shutting down some huge game like EverQuest's servers, but why this POS game?

People have no goddamn lives... <_<
Random fact about Vin Diesel:  Vin Diesel once cooked 400 tons of chicken noodle soup for the needy but then drank all but 1 in a bet with Samuel L. Jackson.

QuoteIf it's flooding/smurfing, they can't fix it by blocking IP's.  Flooding gives it more packets than it can handle... and even if it doesn't respond to those packet and refuses to accept them, it still 'sees' them and deals with them.  Enough packets can still knock the server out.  In fact having a firewall-type program that identifies the incoming IP of each packet is generally a waste and will make the problem worse... now instead of just getting the packets you have the computer waste some time and processing power analyzing them.  If the packets have faked IP's, then everyone's kinda screwed :/

Only thing I can think of would be to upgrade the servers to the point where the packet flooding wouldnt be noticeable.
Like a dual xeon server with 10 gigs of buffered ddr.........like that would ever happen  <_<

Great, just great, twas up for a bit it seems (while I was sleeping, mind you), and now it's down again?

flipjpnboi

i know why does it have to be down again?

Mike2025

Twas a night before Monday,
I was in such delight
for Gunbound would be fixed,
at around midnight.

I woke up that one morning,
to a very stunning shock.
Gunbound was still down,
even though the lil hand was at 6 o'clock.

I got even more pissed,
that one lil Monday.
For whoever hacked it,
was truly truly gay.

I wrote this song out of boredom,
because I had nothing else to do.
I've never really written a song,
but I gotta say this one was worse then poo.

=D

Quoteso what would you suggest they do.....creedo:god of computers

I hope you don't mean that in some nasty sarcastic way, because by posting that I only am trying to make sure people are aware of the facts.  I'm not trying to pose as some expert telling softnyx what's what.

There is truly nothing to be done (except as you said upgrade to ridiculous bandwidth).  I've been the victim of this kind of attack before (on a smaller scale) and there was absolutely nothing I could do... no way to trace where the attack came from, no way to block the incoming packets... no program or hardware that could allow me to stay online and use the internet normally.  I literally ended up changing services.  It's that, or wait for the attacker to get bored.  The internet sucks like this sometimes.   If you're lucky, you know generally the source of the problem (i.e. a specific person who is pissed off) even if you can't prove where the attacks are coming from.

Pfft. I'll be happy to set them up with an IBM p690. Maybe they could use several of them. But this would require them to move to something like Linux or AIX. :P
