After our team worked on the server vigorously over the days, we could finally stablize our server, however, we will not be opening our service until end of 29th of June, 2004. This is to ensure the safety of our users, and to fully check up on the server for it's maximum capacity. Of course to bring the best service for our user. So please be little more patient. It won't be long before you can play Gunbound again.

isnt today the 29th? and who ever said that they might make gunbound pay to play after this is wrong i hope... if gunbound did that no one would play so the game might as well be down

um softnyx said eventually it'll become p2p server... this is still in its beta stage.but iwonder how many people will play after it becomes p2p..

Twas a night before Monday,
I was in such delight
for Gunbound would be fixed,
at around midnight.

I woke up that one morning,
to a very stunning shock.
Gunbound was still down,
even though the lil hand was at 6 o'clock.

I got even more pissed,
that one lil Monday.
For whoever hacked it,
was truly truly gay.

I wrote this song out of boredom,
because I had nothing else to do.
I've never really written a song,
but I gotta say this one was worse then poo.

For me it won't even show the log-in anymore, just the Version checking for a long time then Can't connect to auto-download server.

It is doubtful many of the things you hear concerning GunBound during it's downtime has a trustworthy value. I would not recommend believing people when they say GunBound will return as "pay to play". It is, however, a possibility.

Quite some users on this forum have posted seemingly quoted news of Softnyx. However, I do urge everyone to look at them through a critic's eye when these users have not posted the location of the source and timestamp of this news as well.

I sure hope it doesn't return as pay to play, Gunbound will lose members, if it's pay as you go you'd want your matches to finish fast maybe resulting in yelling and the opponent if he is afk. I won't play anymore if it is pay to play. But as you said, it might not.

well, who knows? i know i wouldn't pay for it, so whether p2p or not it really matters not. if it happens it happens, if not we'll just keep going into zone 12 like drunken addicts.

I think gunbound would be stupid to make it p2p for over 3-5 bucks a month. I could scrap up that. But most players you see do not have a job, and can't get their parents to use their credit card. So if they tryed to charge 12$ a month the servers would be quite empty.

I doubt Softnyx would make its users pay for playing Gunbound unless they do some severe alternation that made the game's boundaries larger and more amusing. The worst thing I'd imagine they'd do is make their users charge cash at least once if they want to play at all.

I'm a Gunbound fan, but I don't think Gunbound is worth paying for. Games like Ragnarok and FFXI online you pay for, and they have huge worlds that are continously going and there RPG's in a 3D world for both. Gunbound on the other hand is 2D (3D background) and it has gameplay similiar to Worms, so if they do decide to charge players, everyone will probably just go and play worms. So I doubt they'll make Gunbound p2p.
