This idea of ALL of the gp getting taken away sucks. but If you get rid of SOME gp from higher ranked players, and they get to still keep there rank, I think its a great idea.

Diamond(minimum) 100k. but then legit diamonds(very few of these) would also be screwed, so I dont know...

Of course not.  I have worked hard for my GP, and should not be punished for the effort I have been put in.   Besides, even if they do reset all GP, I am still not convinced the system is fair.  Yes they have pretty much put an end to botting, however they haven't stamped out sharing accounts, which to me is a subtle form of botting (since you are getting GP for your account without actually having to personally play).

As has been mentioned before, there is a way to catch a majority of the big botters and that is to look at how many cosy tower B games they have played.  As an example, anyone with more than 5000 cosy tower B games has botted.  There are other finer details regarding using the amount of Cosy Tower B games to catch all past botters, but it has been mentioned in past threads.

If Softynx want to be half assed about it, I would be happy for a system that penalised everyone in the whole entire database, 3 or 4gp for every cosy tower B game they have played.  We would all lose a tiny bit of legitamate GP, but in reality it isn't a map played that often and was mainly used as the suicide botters map.

This plan to make everyone higher than 200,000gp get reduced to exactly 200,000gp doesn't take into account all the botters lower or close to this amount.  If softynyx wants to use a successful half-asses approach to tackling all botters (I realise in the very old days, dummy slopes A was used as the botters map, however when cosy tower B came out, that is when botting became widespread), then all they need to do is reduce GP from everyone's account based on the number of Cosy Tower B games.  Reducing 3 or 4gp from every cosy tower B game that everyone has played would be very easy for Softnyx to do, and take little effort.

How many people have legitamately played many games on Cosy tower B?  By many I mean in the vacinity of several hundred games or possibly even in the thousands?  I would be surprised if there are many at all.  Even so, each legitamate person would lose very little GP, whilst the past botters would lose an immense amount of GP.

im not worried about the 'low rank' botters, im more concerned with the rediculously high gp, and the fact uaerules will have 800k by this time next year.

You obviously didn't read my posts properly.  I said if Softnyx want to do things the easy way, they can simply remove GP from EVERYONE'S account based on the total number of Cosy Tower B games played.  This approach requires no effort at all, and no need to look at the total number of games played on Cosy Tower B, or win %'s.  

To make things more clearer, you may have played 50 Cosy Tower B games, this means you would lose either 150 or 200gp.  Another person may have played 20 Cosy Tower B games, they would lose either 60 or 80gp.  A botter may have played 70,000 Cosy Tower B games, so they would lose either 210,000 or 280,000gp.

Uber, I can't stand with you on this one. Here's an anology, although extremely geeky, but I see it as a fit situation.

You are like Dumbledore, of harry potter, in a sense. UAE is snape. Dumbledore seems to be one of the only people who likes and trusts snape, and he says that he has his reasons.
